There are certain elements of the event screen to take note of, especially if you are in an event in which a combat is taking place. Here is a sample picture of the event screen:
Like all events, there is a body of text on the right side and a selection of actions on the left. In an event in which there is combat, the denizen you are battling is listed at the bottom of the body of text, reading something like, "You encounter a Stray Cat". This is followed by the amount of their endurance.
Between the event text and the chat box is a thin field that displays the character summary, including your character's endurance.
Another area that is useful is the feedback frame in the bottom left corner of the game. It will provide additional information not provided in the game.
