Screen Layout
The first page you see when you log into Urban Legions is the StartUp screen in which you select a character to play the game. If you start a subscription to Urban Legions, you will be able to create multiple characters. This is the picture of the Start Up screen:
Main Screen
The Main Screen is divided into four quadrants: the Map & Event frame, the Action frame, the Feedback frame, and the Chat frame.
- Map & Event frame — This portion of the game screen contains two types of content: the map, which is broken into a grid of icon images; and the event, which is a body of text describing a certain scene or activity.
- Action frame — This portion of the game screen contains a list of options a player can chose from, as well as items and abilities to use. While on the map, the list of actions will be certain events happening at various locations around town. While inside an event, the actions are a list of responses to the text in the event.
- Feedback frame — This portion of the game screen contains response feedback from the actions a player performs during the game. For example, as you travel from one location to another, it displays how much time pased during your travels. If you are in a combat situation, this will displa how much damage is given and taken. Other details provided include items gained or lost, stat changes, and so on.
- Chat frame — Have a question to ask the Urban Legions community? You can post a question in the chat frame, or you can just send a friendly greeting to other players.
Event Screen
The Event Screen is the heart of the game. If you do not particularly like a lot of reading, then Urban Legions may not be the game for you. The Event Screen contains a body of text that details a situation. Select an option, item, or ability from the Action frame, and the event text will update to respond to your selection.
Combat Event Screen
When you encounter a non-player character (or creature), you can respond by attacking it. The Combat Event screen will allow you to use items, abilities, or one of your equipped items to defend yourself from such encounters. Although, sometimes, fighting is not always the best solution. The choice it yours to make.
Character Screen
The character screen defines the character you have created. It provides useful information about your character's current status, what abilities they've learned, and what items they have accumulated. The character screen also has a list of quests, and how well you have progressed in each quest.
